Violence Statistcs

  • Almost four million American women were abused by their husbands or boyfriends in the last year alone.
  • A woman is physically abused every nine seconds in this country.
  • 2/3 of attacks on women are commited by someone the victim knows, often her husband or boyfriend.
  • 42% of murdered women are killed by their intimate male partners.
